KOMPOZYT EXPO 2022

New hybrid fabric

We are always expanding our range of products to suit a wide variety of applications. We now have a hybrid fabric, CK 164 GSM Plain, available as wide as 85cm which is ideal for shipbuilders because it significantly reduces wastage, but it also has many other applications.

From 1/5/2020 we have been Kordcarbon, a.s.

Over the last year our Kordcarbon carbon and hybrid fabrics have built up a strong position in the world market in composite materials and become a synonym for the highest quality, and so we decided to take on this name for our company.

JEC World 2016

The winter is nearly over and we set off for Paris. Our goal was to introduce both traditional and newly developed KORDCARBON carbon fabrics at the ‘JEC World 2016’ international composite fair. It was encouraging to have our market position confirmed by our existing and potential customers. Our strategy built predominantly on the first-class quality and flexible customer service is yielding its fruits. We experienced great interest in the new branded materials and numerous companies expressed their desire to become our distributors in various parts of the world. We believe that our high-quality carbon materials will soon represent not just KORDCARBON but also the Czech Republic throughout the world.

COMPOSITES EUROPE 2015 trade fair

We would like to invite you to the COMPOSITES EUROPE 2015 trade fair, taking place in Stuttgart, Germany, between September 22 and 24, 2015. We will be delighted to welcome you to our booth (5/F30) and present you with the latest news from our portfolio of high-quality carbon and hybrid fabrics that we both manufacture and market.



We support Croatia’s Riteh Racing Team

Croatia’s youthful Riteh Racing Team is yet another sports team testing our KORDCARBON carbon fabrics in their racing cars. Prototypes of new racing cars are designed, built and tested by a committed group of students of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Rijeka. We appreciate very much the opportunity to support them in this way so that they can continue to top the rankings in various races.

Richard Hála wins gold once more with kayak made from our materials

World canoeing champion and member of our k-team Richard Hála has won again. Last Saturday he won the gold medal and title of Czech champion in the under 23 whitewater classic in Špindlerův Mlýn. The water was wild and truly icy, but Richard Hála, in a kayak made from our KORDCARBON materials, is able to win under all conditions. We are happy that he is testing our brand-name materials in this wonderful fashion.



Our Carbon Fabrics Conquer the World of Fjords and Glaciers

The quality of our materials persuaded the Norwegian company Polykom a.s., which develops, produces and distributes high-quality composite materials, to establish cooperation with us. We are glad that, thanks to this new distribution channel, the high level of our fabrics will become known in the northern lands, which for us have great significance. This will allow us to show our quality to a broader spectrum of customers and at the same time to gain fresh knowledge, helping us to further improve and grow.

KORDCARBON Carbon Fabrics Score

Our carbon fabrics are helping canoeist Richard Hála on his path to success, and he recently found himself in excellent company. Among the leaders in the last year of the survey ‘Sportsman of Olomouc Region’, European and World Champion in canoeing Richard Hála gained a splendid third place, alongside Petra Kvitová and Tomáš Berdych. The ceremonial announcement of the results took place on February 4, 2015, in the presence of regional governor Jiří Rozbořil in the City Theatre in Prostějov. Our company is proud that we can support Richard Hála and that it is our KORDCARBON carbon fabrics that form a basic part of the winning boat. We believe that boats with our brand materials will also in the future help Richard Hála to do well in all the world competitions that he takes part in.

Cooperation with the design team TU Brno Racing

We are now cooperating with TU Brno Racing, a student design team operating under the patronage of Brno University of Technology. This team is participating in the ‘Formule Student’ project, which aims annually to propose a new, single-seat vehicle, to manufacture a prototype and to score points in contests at world-famous racetracks. They are currently working on their new ‘Dragon 5’ in which our branded KORDCARBON carbon fabric will be used. We believe that with our high-quality materials, the competition team will get to the top of the racing table - as in the past.

Our presence at the Composites Europe Trade Fair did not pass unnoticed by the specialised periodicals

Thanks to our presence at the Composites Europe trade fair in Düsseldorf between 7 and 9 October 2014, we were able to introduce the KORDCARBON products to the broader professional public from Germany and other countries. Interest in our carbon fibre fabrics exceeded our expectations and brought us under the gaze of editors from professional magazines. Our products and exhibit also received commendatory mentions in Czech and Slovak periodicals such as Technický týdeník and ai magazine (automotive industries). We were pleased to learn that not only was the quality of our carbon fabrics received well, but our presentation was rated among the best exhibits at the trade fair in terms of graphic design. We take this as a great success which we highly esteem.

We supported the AGH Racing Team

In the current season we supported the AGH Racing Team from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow (see https://www.facebook.com/aghracing) with our Kordcarbon fabrics. Our joint work was reflected in successful placing in the design competition within Formula Student Spain 2014, where there was great interest in the racing car as well as our carbon fabrics. At the recent Kompozyt Expo Trade Fair in Krakow, we received a letter of thanks and were told of their satisfaction with the quality of our materials, as well as their gratitude for our support in the realisation of their projects, which we very much appreciate.

C-L Sp. z o.o.

C-L Sp. z o.o., an important distributor of products for the making of composite materials, has become our partner for the Polish market. This co-operation is aimed at ensuring good availability and servicing in Poland, corresponding to the high quality of our fabrics.

Design of new kayaks for Richard Hála

In the coming season will be Richard Hála equipped with brand new kayaks made ​​of fabric Kordcarbon and fitted with an attractive design. It will be a kayak for whitewater downhill and kayaks for sprint - K1 and K2, on which he will compete along with Jonathan Šrámek.

Kordcarbon fabrics presented at Kompozyt - EXPO 2013 in Krakow

Kordcarbon carbon and hybrid fabrics will be presented, on 21 – 22 November 2013, at the most important event of the composite industry in Central and Eastern Europe, the KOMPOZYT-EXPO trade fair in Krakow, Poland. You will find us in booth E11.

New product: hybrid fabric 2:1

As an interesting alternative to our standard offer of hybrid fabrics we are introducing to the market a novelty in the Kordcarbon fabric range – Kordcarbon carbon/aramid 2:1 hybrid fabric, 175g/m2, in cloth weave. It is a carbon-aramid hybrid fabric made to meet special requirements and specification from the area of aeronautical applications. The composition of fibres in the weft and the warp is identical – two carbon fibres, one aramid fibre, two carbon fibres, etc.
